Joshua Malik is our founder and chief executive officer. Since July 2005, Mr. Malik has also served as founder and CEO of our affiliate, Joshua Tree Inc. From 1992 to 2005, Mr. Malik served in many roles in the tree care industry, including field operations and training, marketing and sales management, and financial budgeting.
Matthew Spiece has served as our general manager since 2022. Prior to that, he served as our systems information manager and as operations manager of Joshua Tree Inc. He has developed many of our company’s systems and processes. Before joining Joshua Tree Experts, Mr. Spiece served as operations manager of Zeo Brothers Productions in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, where he managed crew scheduling, trucking logistics, equipment management, rental inventory control, and information technology.
Christopher Cooper has served as our corporate controller since 2022. Prior to joining Joshua Tree Experts, Mr. Cooper served as an accountant supervisor at Cross American Partners in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he managed a real estate portfolio of over 1,000 properties. Mr. Cooper supervises our finance, client service, and IT departments, and provides support to our operations department with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Christine Klemann Director of Franchise Support
Christine is the Director of Franchise Support, where she plays a pivotal role in the success of new franchisees. With a strong background in business development and sales experience, she is essential to the onboarding process for new franchise locations. Christine ensures that operational standards are met according to planned project timelines. She collaborates closely with the finance, operations, and marketing teams, focusing on key areas throughout each phase of the franchise onboarding process.
Dylan DeGroat has served as the Director of Operations since June 2025. Prior to that, Dylan served as the Director of Franchise Development since February 2023. For two years prior, he served as our Recruiting and Training Coordinator. He has also served as Field Supervisor at Joshua Tree Experts. He is also a veteran of the Army National Guard and completed one tour in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. As Director of Operations, Mr. DeGroat's team consists of field operations support, onboarding, recruitment, and contact center support.
Tom Armstrong has served as our vice president of franchise operations since 2023. He has spent over 40 years in the green industry and has made a name as a prominent figure in the world of arboriculture. Throughout his career, he has served in various business development roles throughout the tree care industry. Mr. Armstrong is an ISA-certified arborist, a certified tree care safety professional, a CA-licensed tree care contractor, and a licensed pesticide applicator.
Ken Wickham brings 21 years of arboriculture experience to support franchise partners in delivering expert, compliant, and high-quality tree care. Since joining Joshua Tree in 2012, he’s earned his Certified Arborist credential, Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator license, and New Jersey LTCO licensel; equipping him with advanced knowledge in pruning, disease diagnosis, and pest control. Ken’s well-rounded expertise ensures partners have the technical support and guidance they need to grow a professional, trusted, and successful business.
John Blaisse brings 7+ years of recruitment experience to Joshua Tree Experts. With a background in Talent Acquisition at ERM and Comcast, and a B.S. in Psychology from DeSales University, he’s passionate about connecting people to meaningful work in the Tree and Lawncare industry. John is committed to building meaningful career pathways and helping job seekers succeed as they grow within our company.
Bridgid Ryan is a strategic and creative force behind local marketing success at Joshua Tree Experts. Since joining in 2025, she has led efforts to increase lead volume, elevate appointment quality, and drive real business growth across the franchise system. Equal parts data-driven strategist and creative campaign architect, Bridgid designs and implements targeted marketing initiatives that connect the right message to the right audience at the right time. She collaborates across departments, from automation to creative, to ensure every touchpoint performs. Bridgid also equips franchisees with actionable playbooks and energizes local engagement, making sure each location stands out in its market and stays booked weeks in advance.
Madison Malik Digital Marketing Specialist
Madison is the Digital Marketing Specialist at Joshua Tree Experts, a role she has held since 2021. In this role, she oversees the company’s website, SEO efforts and online directory listings, establishes social media pages, and nurtures leads to increase appointment volume. Madison plays a key role in supporting marketing initiatives across the organization. She joined Joshua Tree Experts in 2019 and brings a deep understanding of the company’s mission and values to her digital strategy work.
